Sriram Krishnan's Book Recommendations
"“1929” by @andrewrsorkin - one of the best history reads in recent times.
Andrew knows how to extract the human narrative out of a complex series of market movements bigger than any one individual while also bringing you along on how these pieces fit together.
I find myself writing notes on various pages comparing them to other personalities and incidents. Also fun to go dig deep into people I wasn’t familiar with like Thomas Lamont of JPMorgan & Co.
Strong recommend."
"Strongly recommend @PalmerLuckey's podcast with @joerogan.
In particular, love Palmer's love for sci-fi
- bringing up Crichton's classic Sphere which had a tremendous impact on me as a kid
- David Brin's "Uplift" series, which I had somehow missed.
a great listen and a ton of new "Palmer content"."

Story of Your Life
by Ted Chiang
"that and the book by Ted Chiang are some of my favorite works of sci-fi in how it has real *heart* while also portraying real science."
